1944 born in Moscow in a family of architects. 1962 graduated from the Moscow Art School at the Institute named after Surikov.  From 1962 to 1968 he studied at the Moscow State Art Institute Surikov (workshop prof. D. Zhylinski).     Since 1969, member of the Union of Artists. Since 1991 - Professor of the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts. Lives and works in Moscow and the United States.
